A medical doctor par excellence with over 40 years of experience, specializing in Anaesthesiology. Over the years, Dr. Nganga has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, shown incredible amiability, and enviable agility in decision-making. He successfully rose to the position of Consultant Anaesthesiologist during an 18-year tenure at Kenyatta National Hospital.
He is a celebrated professional in the Kenyan Medical Community, and was named a Foundation Fellow of the College of Anaesthesiologists of East Central and Southern Africa (FFCANECSA) in 2021. He pioneered the establishment of the Division of Anaesthesia at Nairobi Hospital in 1986 and later served as the head of the Department of Anaesthesia from 2012 to 2019.
Beyond the medical field, he actively engages in several community services. Chairing the Board of Management of Ivugwi Secondary School is worthy of mentioning, as he received a citation of commendation for exemplary service.
Dr. Nganga’s book (“From the Village to the City”) is his first as an author. He is currently putting finishing touches to a yet to be out-doored second book. These literary works are a reflection of his passion for reading, teaching, and writing.
Doc is a devoted fan of AFC Leopards and Chelsea Football Club, he finds joy in diverse interests, including free-range chicken farming and caring for pets.
